Custom tailoring is an intricate process which may be made more complicated when done online. Moderntailor is one of the pioneers in making this process easier for you. However, similar to brick and mortar and online tailoring companies, there will be issues. If this happens, we assure you that we are committed in providing the most reasonable solution for both parties.
Workmanship and Quality of Fabrics
We guarantee high quality workmanship and fabrics. If you have issues with the designs or overall make of the garments, we'd be happy to discuss with you. You may email us at sales@moderntailor.com to explain your issues. Photos and illustrations sent as emailed attachments would be helpful in our discussion.
Perfect Fit Guarantee
Traditional tailoring involves several fitting sessions between the tailor and the client. This ensures a perfect fit despite the lengthy process. Most customers of online tailoring companies value convenience and faster tailoring services. Thus the numerous fitting sessions are left out and the task of getting the right fit is tasked to the customer. We recognize that some customers might need more help in taking their own measurements so we have a trial shirt program.
$19.95 trial shirt – If it’s your first time to order a shirt online, then you might want to order a trial shirt. Once you get your first shirt, you can determine if the measurement you have provided is satisfactory. If there needs adjustments, you may modify your profile online for your next order.
Complaints Assessments
We only entertain complaints if they are made within 2 weeks from the date of receipt of the order. If you have not complained within the 2 week period, we take it as you are happy with the shirt we provided and had no reason to complain.
Expedite Production and Expedite Shipment
We understand that some customers order from us because they are in a hurry. We can deliver your shirt orders within 8 business days. We work with 3rd party couriers who take care of our shipping and handling. They do not work on Sundays so please consider that in your delivery expectations.
Sending Shirts/Samples to Us
Here are some shipping tips in sending shirts to Moderntailor Shanghai office for alterations or replication.
1. Send shirt/s using First Class Mail - international post. This is just through your local post office. This is the cheapest way to send packages to us. The first shirt doesn't cost more than $10 to ship internationally from any location in the world.
2. Email sales@moderntailor.com for the Moderntailor office address in Shanghai.
3. Include a very detailed note with instructions and details about this shipment, eg. Order #, specifications on measurements and style etc
4. Mark the package as 'used' so you can avoid paying additional and unnecessary customs taxes.
5. There is no need to purchase packaging or a large envelope for the shipment. You just need to fold the garments neatly.
