1. Do you have a fabric catalogue?
- Yes, you may order swatches at $30, free shipping. In case you only want to see samples of certain fabrics, it would be $0.50 each, plus $10 shipping. Please note that the swatches sent depends on the available fabrics at the time. Please continue to regularly visit our website for more updates.

2. Do you have cotton fabrics?
- Yes we definitely have them. Ninety five percent of the fabrics we use is actually made of 100% cotton so they're comfortable to wear. Some are even non-iron which are ideal for customers who travel a lot.

3. I see that you have duplicate fabric names e.g. Plain White which have different order numbers. What's the difference?
- They differ in thread count, style and fabric composition. We are working into adding a full description on each fabric for a more convenient shopping experience.

4. Do you have non-cotton fabrics?
- Yes, we have Linen and Spandex (Lycra) materials. Should you want other fabrics, we can have our production team get them however we might require minimum order.

5. Do you have two-ply fabrics?
- Yes we do. We have a wide selection of of 50s-100s two ply. You can view them

6. What if my shirt shrinks?
- All our fabrics are pre-shrunk. Although there might be a residual shrinkage of 2 to 3%, this is considered already when we make your shirt.

7. Do you have fabric care tips?
- Please feel free to click">here> to see how you can care for your shirts.

1. How can I measure myself to ensure a perfect fit shirt?
- Please use our">measurement guide to create your body or shirt profile.

2. Why is neck collar height not being asked during signup?
- We use the standard size for neck collar height. You may however indicate on the notes section of your account profile should you have specific requirements.

3. The button for the neck seems to be of different size.
- We use standard 18mm buttons. If it's button down or hidden, the button on the collar would be smaller which would be 12mm.

4. If I decrease shoulder measurement by some inches, do I need to compensate for the sleeve length?
- No need. Just follow our measurement guide.

5. When ordering shirts with french cuffs/convertible cuffs, should I provide a measurement that is slightly longer so that the sleeve is produced properly?
- You need not provide a longer sleeve length for the cuff. Just enter your regular body measurements as per our measurement guide on our site.

6. My height is 5'11" but the space for the height requires 2 digit number in inches. What is it?
- All the measures required in the website (except for weight which could be in lbs or kg) are either in inches or cm. Please convert accordingly. One foot is equal to 12 inches. Thus, your height of 5'11" is 71 inches. Should you wish to convert this to cm, just multiply inches by 2.54cm. In this case, your height is also equivalent to 180.34cm.

1. I have some special requirements for my shirt. Will you be able to accommodate them?
- Please send us a detailed description on your special requirements at It would be best if you provide a photo or sketch of the style you wish to have. Should your request be of additional cost to us, we will send you a quote for it. The said requirements should be entered in the Notes once you place your order.

- The closest is the cutaway collar. If you require one that has less open spread, you may opt for the classic style.

3. Do you provide spare buttons?
- Yes, we do.

4. Can you duplicate the fit of my favorite dress shirt?
- Yes. If you go to Design My Shirt, you will start designing your dress shirt. The measurements tab will give you the option of measuring an existing shirt. Simply choose Shirt Measurements and you will be given instructions on how to measure an existing dress shirt, so we can duplicate the fit.

4. My shirt is too tight. How can I have this altered?

Caring for your ModernTailor Shirt

Share |
Modern Tailor knows the effort you have exerted from fabric selection, measuring and spending to get your best bespoke shirt. By the time you wear them, we know you’ll treat your shirt with extra care like our expert tailors did in making your shirt. Caring for your shirts properly gives them a crisp look and more professional appearance. By treating your shirts their best, you ensure that they'll last longer and look better for as long as you care to wear them. But we also know that no matter how careful we are accidents can happen with your shirt. This is why we came up with a list of common business shirt stains and a handy reference guide on how you can remove them.

Wine spillage is number one in our list. While wine can be great, it’s also the worst stain to remove especially if it’s red wine. In a case like this, quick action is needed. Place a handful of salt onto the stain so it absorbs the color. Pat dry the stain area and to also remove the excess salt. Apply a pre-soak stain remover as soon as you can. Soak your shirt overnight in cold water before washing your shirt according to the care instruction tag.

Tomato Sauce

When confronted with this kind of stain our first step in stain removal is to act on it as quickly as possible. Dab off any excess sauce with a clean cloth before you rinse the affected area under cold running water. Next, soak your ModernTailor shirt in luke-warm water and pat the area with a sponge and liquid detergent. Wash according to the care instructions found on the inside of your business shirt.

Try to scrape off any excess grease before sprinkling some talcum powder over the affected area which should absorb the oil. Allow about 15 minutes for the powder to absorb before brushing the excess off of the affected area then spray with a stain remover. Let it sit for another few minutes then rub it off with laundry detergent before washing your business shirt following its care instructions.

Chewing Gum

Put some ice cubes into a plastic bag and apply to the affected area. Once the gum hardened try to scrape the gum off with a blunt instrument. A spoon will be great. Next, apply your very best stain remover allowing it to absorb for a few minutes. Then, rub the affected area with a liquid detergent and proceed to washing your Modern Tailor shirt according to its care instructions.

While chocolates are tempting and indulging, they can also cause a mess. First thing you need to do is to remove the excess stain by using something blunt but not too sharp. Next, try to rinse out as much as you can with cold water before applying a pre-wash stain remover. Let it sit for a couple of minutes before rubbing the affected area gently with some liquid detergent and leave sitting again for a few minutes. Finally wash your business shirt according to its care instructions on the shirt tag.

Dissolve one part white vinegar with five parts of lukewarm water. Wait for the mixture to dissolve fully before applying gently with a sponge to the affected area of your business shirt and rinse out in cold water. Proceed to soaking your business shirt in warm water with liquid detergent before washing according to the care instruction found inside your shirt.
